Accessibility
We want this site to work for everybody. Here's where we stand.
Our commitment
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. That's the standard most commonly referenced under the Americans with Disabilities Act for websites.
What we've built in
- Semantic HTML structure with landmarks and a logical heading order on every page
- A visible "skip to main content" link for keyboard users
- Full keyboard operability — navigation menus, the FAQ accordions, the seasonal dial and the quote form all work without a mouse, with visible focus indicators
- Text and interface colors checked for contrast against their backgrounds
- Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images, and decorative graphics hidden from screen readers
- Form fields with real labels, clear required-field marking, and error messages tied to the field they describe
- Respect for the operating system's "reduce motion" setting — animation is disabled when you've asked for that
- Layouts that reflow to narrow screens and remain usable at increased zoom
Known limitations
The seasonal care dial and the service-area diagram are visual aids. Both carry text alternatives and the same information is presented in text elsewhere on the page, but the graphics themselves convey less to a screen reader user than to a sighted one.
